"I took the liberty of combining this meme with your profile, and discovered that you are a most fascinating person. Hope you don't mind if I share some of that discovery -- the contrasts and the similarities. And looking at the beginning of your profile, please be assured you that you never have offended me.
It appears that you live in a fascinating place -- by the sea, the beach (as contrasted to my sole conception of the channel, the White Cliffs of Dover (a relic memory of WWII). Clearly you are a homebody, contrasted with my lifelong and incorrigible vagrancy. At the moment my house is in an affluent suburb, but of course I want to change that as soon as possible -- maybe by the sea also. I do regret that it would be such a hassle to ship my house to Europe that it is unlikely I ever will be able to share your beach.
It also appears that you are quite a bit younger than I: your mother is still living, and you expect to be in the same place in six years. On the other hand, my chances of even being on this planet in six years definately are iffy. The only movie on your list that I have seen is King Kong -- 1931 version. We overlap a bit more on books: The Tao of Pooh, Tess, and when I was a child, Wuthering Heights. In music, I am trying to understand how you have Rachmaninoff, Puccini (my favorites), and Verdi onto the same page with Gregorian Chant. I do have a thing for Russian Chant.
Hm-m-m. Dark-haired vs. Viking blonde.
One would guess that you live an upscale life -- house by the sea, you own an anorak, a plasma TV, and a fast computer -- but no car? Of course a car (really, a truck) is a necessity for my (also) upscale lifestyle.
Interests? Of course we overlap on the church. But also psychology, languages (ASL) and the arts. The big constrast is politics, since to me politics is dirty, sinful, and I believe, not consistent with Catholic teaching.
Your blog is admirably devout. I enjoy it, and feel that now I know you. Please keep it up, I'm sure it inspires many readers.
I'm returning the compliment by tagging you for a Butterfly Award.

According to Madame Evangelista who tagged me, "It's really half-Award half-meme because you're then supposed to award it to 10 other blogs."
